The opportunity to work on a classic golf course is one that is cherished by most golf course architects.  South Shore is a 1922 Wayne Stiles design on wonderfully rolling terrain.  Stiles took advantage of topography with a routing that flows from high point to high point placing tees and greens on these natural locations.  South Shore has most likely the best set of original photos of each tee and approach possible for a course of its age.  They are essential for the holes Tim has restored and has provided visual guidance for the proposed work.

Like most clubs with limited capital funds, South Shore has been slowly renovating, prioritizing the areas of most need. Re-building the 4th green, 5th green, and clubhouse/maintenance area through conceptual design work has been rewarding.
