The Master Plan for this municipal facility covers the 1932 Wayne Stiles 18 hole course and the 1967 Geoffrey Cornish 9 hole course.  Previously, Tim had designed the 3 hole Maine First Tee facility adjacent to the South Course 1st tee.

The North Course is a classic era gem and is often host of the Maine Open.  Improvements focused on pace of play issues resulting from the original design features such as steep putting surfaces and lack of teeing area.  Three greens were proposed to be rebuilt.  A bunker renovation is included to minimize wash outs and restore cupable areas on the greens where appropriate with today’s maintenance capabilities.  The plan includes development of an irrigation pond to ween the course off public water and serve as a winter skating feature.

Currently, first phase of bunker and path renovation is planned for this summer.  The South Course bunkers are planned to be renovated to better match the classic golden age style of the North Course.
