At this bay view residence, native plantings are juxtaposed with bold architectural lines to provide privacy within the client’s sculpture garden. Extensive wildflower meadows grace the front and eastern sides of the house. Sloped dunes encircling a series of rain gardens capture 100% roof runoff and the majority of site surface flow for on-site infiltration. The rain gardens are carefully composed of rock sculptures and wetland meadow plantings. This design allows for full open views from the house, ties the home with the bay and solidifies its location along the coastal zone.

“We benefited from your expertise and collaborative style in getting a landscape that incorporates plants which are native to Rhode Island and which are easily sustained in a natural setting. For all of this, we are grateful.”
