This historic nine hole seaside course has been in play since the 1894. Katherine Hepburn called this her home course with her house located seaside of the par 3 second.
We developed an overall course Master Plan focusing on enhancing the original design intent through review of course bunkers, trees, irrigation and green area. Re-building bunkers by removing sand splash build up allows for green area restoration and return of the more interesting cupping positions. There are many invasive trees to remove plus others to allow for healthier turf. Irrigation will be modified to allow for a reduction in use and more control over surrounds and green surface. Greens 1, 5, 7 and 8 will be expanded and slopes softened to increase cupping locations. The first phase of renovation is planned for fall of 2017.
