While an Associate Architect at Cornish, Silva and Mungeam, Tim was responsible for implementation of Master Plan for a 1960’s era private club. The challenge was to maintain a consistent style while working with two contractors and five phases of construction. Scope included two new greens, tee construction on almost every hole, tree removal and most importantly, significant bunker style renovation. Course is sited on dramatic topography and the ever present ledge.

The high sand flash bunkers required extensive maintenance to repair following even a minor rain event. Overall bunker style was transformed into a more classic New England character, eliminating the excess support and lowering bunker floors when they were higher than the green surface. A steep grass face eliminated wash outs and provided shadowing. Bunkers were relocated, added, and eliminated to rejuvenate course visual and play interest.
