Tim’s Master Plan identified many areas to upgrade this 1964 Geoffrey Cornish municipal golf course.  Safety issues had modified the original 12th hole along with a less then receptive green.  The innovative proposal includes building a new short par 3 12th hole, eliminating the safety issue, followed by re-routing the 13th hole.  The original 13th played blindly, awkwardly to a fairway sloping to the right.  Many players’ tee shots found the woods. By extending the 13th tees back to the existing 12th fairway,  the hole is extended to a par 5 and aligns better with the natural terrain.

The tees which were originally designed for fewer rounds, are expanded in areas to allow for turf regeneration.  Bunkers in less strategic locations were shifted where possible to be relevant.  Tree removal will open up sunlight and air flow for fine turf areas.  Additional plantings frame the play corridors.

The golf committee and course leadership are working towards a phased renovation utilizing a variety of funding sources.
