One of the most challenging projects for a golf course architect is a short game practice area. Multiple angles of approach, lesson/single use, and safety.. never mind matching the course architect’s style while providing shots similar to the course and ones you might find on other courses. While I’m very familiar with the styles of the golden age architects having worked on Ross, Raynor, Stiles, Travis, Park, Banks, etc. I was intrigued with exploring Robert Trent Jones Sr.’s style. Facility opened in the spring of 2021.
“Tim was totally immersed in our short game practice area project. He listened carefully to our needs, developed a design that reflected the course conditions our members experience”
